43空之所以填入的是G選項，因為這兩段文字里面描述的同一個內容，之間產生了銜接，這樣才能形成上下文之間的連貫。所以，解新題型的關鍵手段就是——銜接。那歷年試題中常用的銜接手段有哪些?第一，上下文出現的原詞銜接。第二，指代銜接。第三，邏輯關系銜接。第四，數字銜接。在這四種銜接的手段里面，最常用的是數字銜接和指代。指代常見形式：人稱代詞He，him，they，them;指示代詞such (+n)，this (+n)，that (+n)，these (+n)，those (+n)。對于數字銜接，要進一步強調的是，新題型中數字銜接的本質是選項和原文構成了一個句群，都在圍繞時間､數字展開，但需要注意的是表示數字的詞不僅包括直接的數字，如69､260;還包括含有數字意義的詞匯。如amount，number;及表示增加或減少的詞，如increase，decrease以及表示金錢利潤的表達。就比如2013年的題。做題時，我們得先關注選項，將選項中的銜接標志劃出來。在G選項，除了一系列的數字1990s,4% to 25%和15%直接的數字之外，我們還得注意出現了含有數字意義的詞匯：spending。然后，再回到文中，看哪一個空的前后出現的對應的數字表達。43空中就出現了amount和funding等同義表達，將其于G選項完美銜接起來。
